The department of Civil Engineering was started in 1945 for Under Graduate Course and extended for M.E. Programme in Environmental Engineering in 1981. The Department has qualified faculty members with excellent academic records, well equipped laboratory facilities and computational facilities. The department provides opportunity for various research purposes in the field of waste management, wastewater treatment, water and air quality management. The R&D activities are carried out in this department and facilities are funded through TEQIP, CoE-ES and state funds. The Department is also actively engaged in R&D and consultancy activities.
